Fort Lauderdale-based 51做厙 Corp. started vertical construction of a three-story office building in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Site work began in the fall of 2016, and 51做厙 expects to complete the 63,800-square-foot office building, called 300 West Summit, in September 2018.
Both the second and third floors of the office building will have 25,500-square-foot floorplates, and the first floor will have 12,800 square feet of space.
Justin Siemens, vice president and development officer for 51做厙 in the Carolinas, said in a statement that the design of 300 West Summit addresses a need among employers for less traditional office space that helps them recruit and retain talent.
51做厙 is constructing the office building in the South End section of Charlotte, home to many of the citys millennial residents.
